Let \(\mathscr{V}_4\) be the family of smooth Fano \(3\)-folds with Picard number \(1\) and anticanonical volume \(4\). Each member in \(\mathscr{V}_4\) is either a quartic in \(\mathbb{P}^4\) or a double cover of the quadric. Both cases can be represented as \((2,4)\)-complete intersections in \(\mathbb{P}(1^5,2)\) and are \(K\)-stable (see [\textit{I. Cheltsov}, Sb. Math. 192, No. 8, 1241--1257 (2001; Zbl 1023.14019); \textit{K. Fujita}, J. Inst. Math. Jussieu 18, No. 3, 519--530 (2019; Zbl 1523.14074); \textit{R. Dervan}, Bull. Lond. Math. Soc. 48, No. 4, 717--728 (2016; Zbl 1355.32019)]). In the paper under review, it is proved that the connected component of the K-moduli space \(M^{\text{Kps}}_{3,4}\), containing \(\mathscr{V}_4\), admits (singular) Fano \(3\)-folds \(X\) that are \textit{not} complete intersections as above (see Theorem A and Corollary in the text). The latter varieties are \((2,2,4)\)-complete intersections in \(\mathbb{P}(1^5,2^2)\) and vary in a \textit{closed} subset of \(M^{\text{Kps}}_{3,4}\) (see Theorem B of the paper). Such special \(X\) include toric examples (see Proposition 2.1) and the \(K\)-polystability of generic member in \(M^{\text{Kps}}_{3,4}\) is proved via the standard method of estimating the \textit{\(\delta\)-invariant} (see e.g. Definition 2.5 in [\textit{H. Abban} and \textit{Z. Zhuang}, Forum Math. Pi 10, Paper No. e15, 43 p. (2022; Zbl 1499.14066)] and \S 1.5 in [\textit{C. Araujo} et al., The Calabi problem for Fano threefolds. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press (2023; Zbl 1536.14032)]).\N\NFurther, let \(\mathfrak{M}_{1/16}\) be the \(K\)-moduli space of pairs \((S,\frac{1}{16}\Delta)\), consisting of a del Pezzo surface \(S\) of degree \(4\) and a divisor \(\Delta \sim -4K_S\). It turns out there is a finite injective morphism \(\mathfrak{M}_{1/16} \longrightarrow M^{\text{Kps}}_{3,4}\) whose image is the closure of the locus parameterizing pure complete intersections \(X_{2,2,4} \subset \mathbb{P}(1^5,2^2)\) (see Theorem 4.3). The paper concludes by discussing the \textit{wall crossing} phenomenon for the moduli spaces \(\mathfrak{M}_{c}\) with \(c \in (0,\frac{1}{16}]\) (see Section 5).
