      The author provides an asymptotical formula for\N\[\NS_f(x)=\sum_{n\le x, n\equiv h\ {\text{mod}\ q}}\lambda^2_{\text{sym}^if}(n),\N\]\Nwhere \(j\ge3\), \(q\ll x^{a_j}\), \(\varepsilon>0\) and \(\lambda^2_{\text{sym}^if}(n)\) are the coefficients of the Dirichlet series of the \(j\)th symmetric power \(L\)-function of a normalized primitive holomorphic cusp form \(f\) of even weight for \(\mathrm{SL}(2,Z)\) with\N\[\Na_j= 1-\frac{69}{69(j+1)^2-29}-\varepsilon.\N\]\N\NTheorem 1.1 gives\N\[\NS_f(x) = c_{f,j,\varepsilon}\frac xq +O\left(x^{b_j}q^{1+\varepsilon}\right),\N\]\Nwhere\N\[\Nb_j=1-\frac{138}{69(j+1)^2-29}+\varepsilon.\N\]\NThe second theorem gives a similar result with \(\lambda^2_{\text{sym}^if}(n)\) replaced by \(\lambda^3_{\text{sym}^if}(n)\).
