The author describes an algorithm for approximating a conformal mapping \(f= f(z)\) from a multiply connected domain \(D\) onto a ring domain with radial cuts. The idea of this algorithm is based on using collocation points on the boundary of \(D\) and a set \(\{z_{j,i}\}\) of so-called charge points in the interior of the bounded components of the complement of \(D\) analogous to a previous paper of the author [Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 24, No. 7, 461-467 (2000; Zbl 0961.30004)]. By solving a system of linear equations which expresses the conditions for the boundary values of \(f\) in the collocation points he determines the charges at the points \(z_{j,i}\). In this way, he obtains an approximation \(\exp[H_n(z)]\) of \(|f(z)|\), where the harmonic function \(H_n\) is given in terms of the computed charges and the points \(z_{j,i}\). The approximation of \(f\) arises from this representation of \(\exp[H_n]\). A numerical example shows the good convergence behavior of the algorithm, however in one special case only.
