Let \((G, \odot , \slash ,\setminus , e)\) be a loop, where \(G\) is a set, \(\odot , \slash ,\setminus \) denote three usual binary operations (multiplication, right division and left division respectively) and \(e\) denotes the nullary operation (the identity element). The left (right) inverse element of \( x\in G\) is the element \(x^{\lambda},\, (x^{\rho})\) such that \(x^{\lambda}\odot x = e \, (x \odot x^{\rho} =e)\). The authors consider some variations of so-called ``inverse properties'' of quasigroups. For example, a quasigroup \((G, \odot)\) is said to have the left (resp. right) inverse property if there exists a mapping \(J_{\lambda} : x\mapsto x^{\lambda}\;(J_{\rho} : x\mapsto x^{\rho})\) such that \(x^{\lambda}\odot (x\odot y) =y \; ((y\odot x)\odot x^{\rho}=y)\) for all \(x, y \in G\). Next, the ``cross inverse property'', the ``weak inverse property'' and the like are determined. The object of study in the article is a Cheban loop. A loop is a Cheban loop if it satisfies the following identities: \((z\odot (y\odot x)) \odot x = (z\odot x) \odot (x\odot y), \; x\odot ((x\odot y)\odot z) =( y\odot x)\odot (x\odot z)\) for all \( x,y, z\in G.\) Some algebraic properties of a Cheban loop and the inverse properties in it introduced above are studied. Here, the authors prove that a Cheban loop satisfies the cross inverse property if and only if it is an abelian group.
