Dowker spaces are normal topological spaces which are not countably paracompact. In [Fundam. Math. 73, 179--186 (1971; Zbl 0224.54019)], \textit{M. E. Rudin} constructed a Dowker space in \(\mathsf{ZFC}\), which is a subspace of the box product \(\prod_{n>0}(\aleph_n+1)\). In place of \(\aleph_n\)'s, the author generalizes this construction to an arbitrary increasing sequence of regular uncountable cardinals \(\langle\kappa_n:n\in\omega\rangle\) and the box product \(\prod_{n\in\omega}(\kappa_n+1)\), assuming some condition, say \(\varphi\), on the sequence \(\langle \kappa_n:n\in\omega\rangle\). The condition \(\varphi\) holds for any increasing sequence of regular uncountable cardinals under Shelah's Strong Hypothesis. Consequently, it is consistent that Rudin's construction can be carried out in the box product of any increasing sequence of regular uncountable cardinals.\N\NThere is a typo in Definition 2.1; the definition of \(X(\mu,\overline{\kappa})\) should be as below: \N\[\NX(\mu,\overline{\kappa})=\{f\in\prod_{n\in\omega}(\kappa_n+1)| (\exists m\in\omega)(\forall n\in\omega)(\mu<\mathrm{cf}(f(n))\leq\kappa_m)\}.\N\]
