This paper is the fourth one in a series of papers studying an extension of Directed Algebraic Topology which covers critical processes, indecomposable and unstoppable. The first one [\textit{M. Grandis}, Cah. Topol. Géom. Différ. Catég. 65, No. 1, 3--34 (2024; Zbl 1532.55012)] introduced controlled spaces and examined how they can model critical processes in various domains, such as the change of state in a memory cell or the action of a siphon. The second paper of the series [ibid. 65, No. 4, 438--483 (2024; Zbl 1551.55001)] introduced the fundamental category of controlled spaces. The fundamental category provides a framework for understanding the homotopy structure of these spaces. The third part [ibid. 66, No. 1, 3--18 (2025; Zbl 1556.55014)] explained how to compute it. The homotopy structure of these spaces is examined in this fourth part.
