In [Fundam. Math. 77, 99--107 (1972; Zbl 0244.54023)] the author described a nonchainable atriodic tree-like continuum as an inverse limit on simple triods with a single bonding map. The continuum has the property of Kelley [\textit{W. T. Ingram} and \textit{D. D. Sherling}, Can. Math. Bull. 34, 351--356 (1991; Zbl 0805.54030)], because it is a confluent image of a continuum (constructed by \textit{D. D. Sherling} [Can. J. Math. 35, 1030--1048 (1983; Zbl 0505.54011)]) having the property of Kelley. In this paper the author presents another proof that the continuum has the property of Kelley. In this proof, inverse limit techniques are used. The technique of the proof is then applied to show that (1) all the members of the uncountable collection of atriodic tree-like continua with no model presented in the author's papers [Fundam. Math. 85, 73--78 (1974; Zbl 0281.54014)] and [Fundam. Math. 101, 189--193 (1978; Zbl 0413.54038)], (2) certain chainable continua obtained as inverse limits on \([0,1]\) using a single bonding map chosen from a collection of bonding maps determined by permutations presented in the author's paper [Topology Appl. 126 (2002; Zbl 1018.54027)] have the property of Kelley.
