The Kegel-Wielandt theorem [see \textit{B. Huppert}, Endliche Gruppen I. Springer-Verlag, Berlin-Heidelberg-New York (1967; Zbl 0217.07201), Satz 4.3, p. 674], states that a finite group is solvable if it is the product of two nilpotent subgroups. Using the classification theorem of finite simple groups, the author gives an extension of the above well known theorem.
