Let \(\mathcal R\) be the set of all reals. A sequence of functions \(f_n:\mathcal R^m\to\mathcal R\), \(n=1,2,\dots\), converges discretely to the limit \(f\) if \[ \forall_x\exists_{n(x)}\forall_{n>n(x)}f_n(x)=f(x). \] The authors shows that the classes of all discrete limits of sequences of approximately continuous functions, of all discrete limits of sequences of derivatives and of all discrete limits of sequences of Baire 1 functions are the same. He describes also the discrete limits of sequences of quasicontinuous functions, and of sequences of almost everywhere continuous functions, and he presents a necessary condition which must be satisfied by the discrete limits of sequences of \(T_{\text{ae}}\)-continuous functions.
