Let \(p\) denote a prime number larger than three. Let \(E\) denote a finite extension of \(\mathbb{Q}_p\), with ring of integers \(\mathcal{O}\). In the paper under the review, the author studies restrictions to a parahoric subgroup of representations of \(G = \mathrm{GL}_2(\mathbb{Q}_p)\) on \(p^n\)-torsion \(\mathcal{O}\)-modules and on \(E\)-Banach spaces. Let \(K = \mathrm{GL}_2(\mathbb{Z}_p)\) denote the maximal compact subgroup and let \(Z\) denote the center of \(G\).\N\NThe first main result of the paper states that for an absolutely irreducible, admissible, very generic, unitary \(E\)-Banach space representation \(\Pi\) of \(G\) exactly one of the following holds:\N\begin{itemize}\N\item[1.] \(\Pi |_{KZ}\) is irreducible,\N\item[2.] \(\Pi\) has irreducible supersingular reduction, \(\Pi \cong \Pi \otimes (\mathrm{nr}_{-1} \circ \det)\) and \(\Pi \cong \mathrm{Ind}_{G^+}^G(\Pi_0)\), for some irreducible \(G^+\)-representation \(\Pi_0\) such that \(\Pi_0 |_{KZ}\) is irreducible,\N\item[3.] \(\Pi\) has a closed \(KZ\)-stable \(E\)-subspace of finite dimension over \(E\).\N\end{itemize}\NAs a consequence, it follows that if \(\Pi |_K\) has a finite length, then a twist of \(\Pi\) has locally algebraic vectors, answering a question of Dospinescu.\N\NLet \(\Pi_1, \Pi_2\) denote absolutely irreducible, admissible, very generic, non-ordinary, unitary \(E\)-Banach space representations of \(G\). Let \(\mathrm{Iw}\) denote the upper-triangular Iwahori subgroup of \(G\) and let \(N\) stand for its normalizer in \(G\). The second main result of the paper states the following:\N\N\begin{itemize}\N\item[1.] If \(\Pi_1\) and \(\Pi_2\) have irreducible reduction, then \(\Pi_1 |_{\mathrm{Iw}Z} \cong \Pi_2 |_{\mathrm{Iw}Z}\) if and only if \(\Pi_1 \cong \Pi_2 \otimes (\mathrm{nr}_{\pm 1} \circ \det)\) and \(\Pi_1 |_N \cong \Pi_2 |_N\) if and only if \(\Pi_1 \cong \Pi_2\),\N\item[2.] if \(\Pi_1\) and \(\Pi_2\) have reducible reduction, then \(\Pi_1 |_{KZ} \cong \Pi_2 |_{KZ}\) if and only if \(\Pi_1 \cong \Pi_2 \otimes (\mathrm{nr}_{\pm 1} \circ \det)\),\N\item[3.] otherwise, there are no \(\mathrm{Iw}Z\)-linear isomorphisms \(\Pi_1 \rightarrow \Pi_2\).\N\end{itemize}\N\NProofs appearing in the paper are independent of the \(p\)-adic Langlands correspondence.
