Let \(a\) and \(b\) be fixed non-negative integers. A two weight set (with weights \(a\) and \(b\)) \(A\) in \(\mathrm{PG}(n, q)\) is a set of its points such that \(A\) intersects every hyperplane in either \(a\) or \(b\) points. \(a\) and \(b\) are then called the weights of \(A\). \N\NThe article under review contains an elegant combinatorial construction of a two weight set in \(\mathrm{PG}(3n - 1, q)\) with weights\N\[ \N\frac{q^{2n} - q^{2n - 1} + q^n - q}{q - 1}\ \text{ and }\ q^{2n}.\N\]\NThe author also shows that the combinatorially constructed two weight set \(A\) also admits an interesting automorphism group from which the two weight code \(A\) of the preceding sentence can be reconstructed. The author also poses some interesting questions concerning the construction of the paper under review and a construction of a two weight code by \textit{R. Mathon} [J. Comb. Theory, Ser. A 97, No. 2, 353--368 (2002; Zbl 1010.51009)] and the construction in [\textit{J. Bierbrauer} and \textit{Y. Edel}, J. Comb. Des. 5, No. 5, 391--396 (1997; Zbl 1125.94343)].\N\NReviewer's remark: An extensive bibliography of the article will prove highly useful for researchers in this area.
