This article deals with operator equations \(Ax=f\) and \(Kx+ Ax=f\) in a Banach space \(E\) where \(K\) is an operator with dense domain \(D(K)\) and range \(R(K)\) and there exists a Lipschitz continuous inverse \(K^{-1}\), \(A\) is \(K\)-accretive (strongly \(K\)-accretive), or, in other words, \(D(A) \subseteq D (K)\) and for each \(x,y\in D(A)\) and some \(j_p(Kx-Ky) \in J_p(Kx-Ky)\) the following inequality holds: \[ \bigl\langle Ax-Ay,j_p (Kx-Ky)\bigr \rangle\geq 0\;\biggl(\bigl \langle Ax-Ay, j_p(Kx-Ky) \bigr\rangle\geq \mu\|Kx-Ky \|^p,\;\mu >0\biggr); \] here, as usual, \[ J_px:= \bigl\{f^*\in E^*: \langle x,f^* \rangle = \|x\|^p,\;\|f^*\|= \|x\|^{p-1} \bigl\} (1<p < \infty). \] Some examples, showing that these classes of operators cover classes of accretive, dissipative and \(K^*\)-positive definite operators, are given. Further, the Picard-like iterations (in particular, \(Kx_{n+1}= Ax_n-\lambda (Ax_n-f)\) \((n=0,1,2, \dots)\), \(\lambda\) is a positive number), are considered and conditions of their strong convergence to the unique solution of equations \(Ax=f\) and \(Kx+Ax=f\) are given. The rate of this convergence is also estimated.
