The paper gives a contribution to the study of the random-cluster model and hence of the ferromagnetic Potts model, related with the former one by Swendsen and Wang. Basing on the results of \textit{G. R. Grimmett} [Ann. Probab. 23, No. 4, 1461-1510 (1995; Zbl 0852.60105)], \textit{J. G. Propp} and \textit{D. B. Wilson} [Random Struct. Algorithms 9, No. 1/2, 223-252 (1996; Zbl 0859.60067)], and \textit{O. Häggström} and \textit{J. E. Steif} [Comb. Probab. Comput. 9, No. 5, 425-439 (2000; Zbl 0973.60049)], the authors develop an explicit pointwise dynamical construction of random-cluster measures, which provides couplings between random-cluster measures with different boundary conditions. This construction enables the authors to show that the Potts model on an amenable Cayley graph with fixed-spin boundary conditions exhibits a strong mixing, known as Bernoullicity. Some peculiarities and open problems of the random-cluster model and coupling construction are discussed in the concluding section of the paper.
