This article studies a broad family of continued fraction (CF) systems, including specific examples over real, complex, quaternionic, and octonionic fields, as well as over \(\mathbb{R}^3\). The authors introduce the concept of serendipity, a condition equivalent (under reasonable geometric assumptions) to the finite range property, which allows a unified dynamical analysis of these systems.\N\NBuilding on the works of Nakada and Hensley, the authors establish key ergodic properties -- such as exactness, CF-mixing, and a Kuzmin-type limit theorem -- for a variety of higher-dimensional CF maps. A central result asserts that under natural algebraic and geometric conditions on the lattice and inversion, the associated CF system possesses a unique invariant measure (equivalent to Lebesgue), whose density is bounded and piecewise analytic. The analytic tools involve both transfer operator techniques and careful control of cylinder decompositions using spherical and hyperplane boundaries. The exposition is clear and self-contained, with a thoughtful integration of geometric, measure-theoretic, and dynamical tools.
