The existence of invariant sets for operator semigroups is an important question especially in the existence theory for semilinear differential equations. The paper under review investigates operator semigroups acting on Banach lattices and of concern is the invariance of order intervals. First, the case of positive semigroups is analyzed in detail and then, using the concept of modulus semigroup, the results are extended to general semigroups. Using recent developments on the \(L^p\)-history space approach to delay equations, the results are extended to ordinary differential equations with delay.
