On the evaluation of uncertain courses of action (Q702303)

The referred paper deals with the decision making methods under uncertainty. Namely, the conversion of the multiplicity of possible outcomes associated with particular alternatives of decision which is to be converted into a single value by means of of a valuation function, is in the focus of interest. The fuzzy measure is used to represent the uncertainty and available information about it. The main contribution of the paper consists in the description of various ways of providing the valuation function. The general model is specified for the particular cases of probabilistic and possibilistic uncertainty.
