Let \(G\) be a finite group. A subgroup \(H\) of \(G\) is called Hall-normally embedded in \(G\) if \(H\) is a Hall subgroup of the normal closure \(H^G.\) The authors fix a divisor \(d\) of the order of a Sylow subgroup \(P\) of a finite group \(G\) with \(1 < d < |P|\) and investigate the structure of \(G\) under the assumption that every subgroup \(H\) of \(P\) with \(|H| = d\) is Hall-normally embedded in \(G.\) For example, they prove the following: \N\NLet \(\mathcal F\) be a saturated formation containing the class of all supersolvable groups and \(E\) a normal subgroup of \(G\) such that \(G/E \in \mathcal F\) and assume that for a suitable choice of \(d\), all subgroups of \(P\) of order \(d\) and all cyclic subgroups of order \(4\) (if \(P\) is a non-abelian \(2\)-group and \(d = 2\)) are Hall normally embedded in \(G\). Then \(G \in \mathcal F.\)
