Solution transfer is needed when a solution of a partial differential equation is known on a donor mesh and must be transferred to a target mesh. In this paper, the authors consider a conservative solution transfer (typically using Galerkin or \(L_2\)-minimizing methods). An algorithm for conservative solution transfer between curved meshes in \({\mathbb R}^2\) is described. The transfer process conserves globally to machine precision, since exact quadratures for all integrals are used. In numerical experiments, the donor mesh is on a square centered at the origin and the target mesh is on the unit disc.
