The authors prove an extension of a result of \textit{U. Shapira} [Comment. Math. Helv. 88, No. 2, 485--506 (2013; Zbl 1306.37009)], which itself extends a result of \textit{D. H. Kim} [Nonlinearity 20, No. 7, 1637--1643 (2007; Zbl 1116.37029)]. Kim showed that given an irrational number \(\theta\), for almost every \(s \in \mathbb{R}\), \N\[\N\liminf_{n \rightarrow \infty} n \min_{b \in \mathbb{Z}} \vert n \theta - b - s\vert = 0, \N\]\Nwhere the \(\liminf\) is taken over all integers. The result was extended by Shapira [loc. cit.] to the multidimensional case, where \(\theta\) is replaced by an \(r\times m\)-matrix, \(n\) is replaced by a vector of \(m\) integers, \(b\) by a vectors of \(r\) integers and \(s\) a vector of \(r\) real numbers. Here, the \(\liminf\) is taken as \(\vert n \vert_{\infty}\) goes to infinity.\N\NIn the present paper, the result is generalised further, so that the two involved absolute values (of the analogue of \(n\) and the affine form respectively) are replaced by weighted variants. Furthermore, the result is generalised to \(S\)-arithmetic affine forms, where the concrete statements depend on whether \(\infty\) is an element of \(S\) or not. The statement is to involved to repeat here, but despite the technical nature of the result, the paper is very clearly written.
