Uninorm solutions and (or) nullnorm solutions to the modularity condition equations (Q703387)

The main attention is focused on the discussion of generalizations of triangular norms and related concepts. The generalizations are obtained by weakening their boundary conditions. Namely, the concepts of nullnorm, uninorm and t-operator are considered and their relations are investigated. The first result shows that the nullnorms and t-operators are equivalent. The main aim of the paper is to investigate the modularity condition equations with continuous uninorms involved. It is also shown that the equations discussed in the paper are natural generalizations of the modularity conditions in distributive lattice theory and associative equations in fuzzy set theory.
