This book summarizes a decade of research work of the author in the field of numerical simulation of flow and transport processes in hydro- and environmental sciences and engineering. The book comprises 5 chapters where chapter 5 is devoted to applications of the theory and techniques developed in chapters 1 to 4. These methods are essential for the extention of modeling systems to manage the decision support systems using optimization techniques. The author develops efficient information-processing techniques which can be applied, e.g., in coal mine areas. Performances of the developed methods are also implemented in numerical and practical experiments. It is an excellent innovation research which will be useful to the researchers around the globe working in the area of numerical and information-processing methods.
