Involving five parameters \(A,B>0\), \(p,q>1\) and \(\lambda>0\), with \(1/p+1/q=1\) and \(\lambda\leq \min(p,q)\), Hardy--Hilbert-type inequalities of the form \[ \sum_{n=1}^\infty\sum_{m=1}^\infty {a_mb_n\over (Am+Bm)^\lambda} \leq {B(\lambda/p,\lambda/q)\over A^{\lambda/p}B^{\lambda/q}} \left\{\sum_{n=1}^\infty n^{p-1-\lambda}a_n^p\right\}^{1\over p} \left\{\sum_{n=1}^\infty n^{q-1-\lambda}b_n^q\right\}^{1\over q} \] are obtained for all nonnegative sequences \((a_n)\), \((b_n)\). The constant factor \({B(\lambda/p,\lambda/q)\over A^{\lambda/p}B^{\lambda/q}}\) is shown to be best possible. (Here the function \(B\) in the numerator stands for Euler's beta function.)
