The rapid development of computer technology permits us to study a process described by a system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) by using an approximate solution in order to describe the behavior of this process. It is reasonable to ask whether the approximate solution so constructed corresponds to a real solution of the underlying system? This is the so-called shadowing problem. Most known results in such a shadowing problem are for autonomous or periodic systems of ODEs. In this interesting paper, the author investigates systems of ODEs with arbitrary (not necessary periodic) dependence on time. For such systems, the author formulates sufficient conditions such that to a given approximate solution there corresponds a real solution, located in a small neighborhood of the approximate solution.
