Given a set of tiles -- a ``protoset''. If it admits tilings, but no tiling with a compact fundamental domain, the protoset is aperiodic. If however it admits tilings that have an infinite cyclic symmetry (a period), the protoset is weakly aperiodic. If it admits tilings, but no tiling with an infinite cyclic symmetry, the protoset is strongly aperiodic. In [Math. Intell. 2, 32--37 (1978; Zbl 0426.52005)] \textit{R. Penrose} gave an example of weakly aperiodic protoset in the hyperbolic plane that is not strongly aperiodic. Further many other examples of aperiodic protosets have been found. In the paper under review the author constructs the first known example of a strongly aperiodic set of tiles in the hyperbolic plane.
