The motivation for this paper is the study of asymptotic expansions for solutions of elliptic partial differential equations and, more generally, pseudo-differential equations, near a singularity of the underlying manifold [cf. \textit{B.--W. Schulze}, ``Boundary value problems and singular pseudo-differential operators'' (Wiley Ser. Pure Appl. Math.) (1998; Zbl 0907.35146)]. The author gives here an abstract algebraic frame for this study, arguing on germs at \(z_0\in \mathbb{C}\) of meromorphic functions \(F(z)\), taking values in a Banach space \(E\) or in \(L(E,E)\). In particular, the author underlines the similarity with the theory of \textit{I. C. Gohberg} and \textit{E. I. Sigal} [Math. USSR, Sb. 13, 603--625 (1971; Zbl 0254.47046)] on the inversion of finitely meromorphic operator-valued functions.
