The main result of this paper is a fact that the concepts of \(AN\)-stability, \(B\)-stability, and algebraic stability are equivalent for a non-confluent and additive Runge-Kutta method (ARK-method). The fractional step Runge-Kutta method (FSRK-method) is a particular case of the ARK-method, therefore the definition of algebraic stability here is not necessary. The author presents a class of \(B\)-stable and symmetric FSRK-methods.
