This paper concerns forced Liénard equations of the type \[ u''+ u'h(u)+ k(u)= \mu\psi(u,u',t)= 0\tag{1} \] with \(h(u):= 1-\beta+3\beta u^2\), \(k(u):= u(\alpha-\beta+\beta u^2)\), \(\psi(u,u',t):= u'(3u^2- 1)f(\omega t)+ u(u^2- 1)(f(\omega t)+ \omega f'(\omega t))\), where \(f\) is a \(2\pi\)-periodic analytic odd function. The parameters \(\alpha\) and \(\beta\) are choosen such that the unforced equation, i.e., (1) with \(\mu= 0\), has a globally attracting limit cycle with frequency \(\Omega_0\). The goal is an analytical and numerical investigation of the Arnol'd tongues in the \((\omega,\mu)\)-plane. In particular, it is shown that the width of the Arnol'd tongue, which bifurcates from \(\omega= \Omega_0{p\over q}\) with \(p,q\in\mathbb{N}\) relatively prime, is proportional to \(\mu\), but with a proportionality constant which decays exponentially for \(p,q\to\infty\).
