    The authors consider a general model of a semilinear impulsive differential equation in an arbitrary Banach space of the form \[ \begin{aligned} \dot x(t)= Ax(t)+ f(t,x(t)),\quad &\{x(t)\}\cap Y(t)=\emptyset,\\ \Delta x(t)= I_kx(t),\quad &\{x(t)\}\cap Y(t)= \{y_k(t)\},\quad x(0)= x_0,\end{aligned} \] where \(A\) is the infinitesimal generator of a \(C_0\)-semigroup \(\{T(t),t\geq 0\}\) on the Banach space \(X\), \(\Delta x(t)= x(t+ 0)- x(t)\), \(I_k: X\to X\) \((k= 1,2,\dots, n)\) is a nonlinear map. The warning set \(Y\) is defined by \(Y= \{y_k: k= 1,2,\dots\}\), where \(y_k: [0,\infty)\to X\) is a mapping \((k= 1,2,\dots, n)\). For \(t\geq 0\), the warning wall is given by \(Y(t)= \{y_k(t): k= 1,2,\dots\}\). The authors consider the interesting case for the relationship between a curve \(\Gamma_y= \{(t,y(t)): t\geq 0\}\) on \(\mathbb{R}^+\times X\) and the semiflow \(W\) generated by the evolution system. Sufficient conditions for \((s,y(s))\) to be an branching point of \(\Gamma_y\) with respect to the semiflow \(W\) are derived.
