The author considers one-dimensional foliations \(\mathcal{F}\) on a complete simplicial toric variety of dimension \(n\) associated with a fan \(\Delta\), \(\mathbb{P}_\Delta\). Denoting \(\mathbb{T}^n\) the torus acting on \(\mathbb{P}_\Delta\), \(K_\mathcal{F}\) the canonical sheaf of \(\mathcal{F}\) and \(\rho(\mathbb{P}_\Delta)\) the Picard number of the variety \(\mathbb{P}_\Delta\), the main result of the paper asserts that if \(\mathcal{F}\) admits h\(^0 (\mathbb{P}_\Delta, \mathcal{O}_{\mathbb{P}_\Delta } (K_\mathcal{F})) + \rho(\mathbb{P}_\Delta) +n\) invariant irreducible \(\mathbb{T}^n\)-Weil divisors, then \(\mathcal{F}\) has a rational first integral. The proof of the result is based on the existence of homogeneous coordinates for the variety \(\mathbb{P}_\Delta\) and the result can be regarded as the analogous on toric varieties to the Darboux-Jouanolou-Ghys integrability theorem for one dimensional foliations on compact complex manifolds.
