      A nonlinear reaction-diffusion equation on the whole space \(\mathbb R^d\) is studied in the framework of a ``large'' function space (allowing uniformly locally bounded initial data, for example any globally bounded function is admissible). Well-posedness is proved, as well as the existence of a global attractor, using the short trajectory method. For dimension \(d\leq 3\), an upper bound for the Kolmogorov \(\varepsilon\)-entropy of the attractor is obtained.
