The Sharkovskii theorem classifies continuous real functions according to periods of periodic points in the Sharkovskii ordering. An important consequence is that, if there is a periodic point of period three, then there are periodic points of all other periods. The present paper investigated a random generalization of the Sharkovskii theorem. The authors used the method of transformation to deterministic case based on selection theorems for measurable multifunctions and by doing so they could omit the assumption of measure space completeness. They formulated an analogue of the Sharkovskii theorem for spaces of measurable functions and for \(L^p\)-spaces.
