The author shows that the category of simplicial sets has an infinite sequence of distinct Quillen model category structures. In each case, the weak equivalences are the usual weak equivalences. The fibrations in the various structures form a strictly increasing sequence \[ \text{Fib}_0 \subset\text{Fib}_1 \subset\text{Fib}_2 \subset \dots, \] such that a morphism \(f\) is in \(\text{Fib}_n\) if and only if \(\text{Ex}^n(f)\) is a Kan fibration, where \(\text{Ex}\) is Kan's extension functor.
