The authors establish sufficient conditions for the oscillation (or tending to zero) of all solutions of a certain third order nonlinear functional dynamic equation on time scales. Their results extend and improve known criteria of this type in the literature. The Riccati technique is one of the methods used in the proofs. Reviewer's remark: Since the time scale integrals \(\int_{t_0}^\infty\frac{1}{a_i(t)}\,\Delta t\) are utilized in the paper, it should be required in addition to \(a_i(\cdot)\) being rd-continuous that \(\inf\{a_i(t),\;t\in[t_0,t_1]_{\mathbb T}\}>0\) for all \(t_1\in(t_0,\infty)_{\mathbb T}\) instead of the positivity of \(a_i(\cdot)\).
