Semigroups of locally injective maps and transfer operators (Q711598)

The article is devoted to semigroups and transfer operators for a compact metric space \(X\). Semigroups of continuous surjective locally injective maps on compact metric spaces are considered. Each element of such a semigroup \(P\) induces a unital isomorphism of the space of all continuous maps \(C(X)\). Abelian semigroups \(P\) and associated cocycles are considered. For these an existence of transfer operators is studied. Relations of divisible semigroups \(P\) with groups of homeomorphisms are elucidated.
