The Weil-Petersson metric on the moduli space of hyperbolic surfaces has been an object of intense interest to Teichmüller theorists, and the author is perhaps the world's leading expert in the curvature properties of this metric and in particular their relation to (hyperbolic) length functions of simple closed curves. In this paper, motivated by work of \textit{K. Burns, H. Masur} and \textit{A. Wilkinson} [Ann. Math. (2) 175, No. 2, 835--908 (2012; Zbl 1254.37005)] on the ergodicity of the Weil-Petersson geodesic flow, which requires a detailed analysis of the curvature tensor, the author expands the evaluation of the curvature tensor along the gradients of geodesic length functions.
