Consider a system of linear second-order differential ordinary differential equations of the form \[ \ddot{\mathbf{x}}=A\dot{\mathbf{x}}+B\mathbf{x}+\mathbf{C}(t) \] over the complex field. \(\mathbf{C}(t)\) is a smooth \(n\)-component vector-function of \(t\), and \(A\) and \(B\) are constant complex-valued matrices of dimension \(n\times n\), \(n\geq 2\). Lie symmetries of this system are described in detail. An explicit description of the maximal Lie invariance algebra of such a system is presented together with an effective algorithmic tool to compute the dimensions of such algebras. Illustrative examples are given.
