Computing the intersection curve of two surfaces is an important problem in computer aided design. This paper proposes an improved method to compute the intersection curve of two rational parametric surfaces, one being projectable. In particular, for the projectable surfaces, a simpler implicitization method is given; by substituting the parametric surface to the implicit surface yields a plane algebraic curve, then a method to compute the topology graph of the planar algebraic curve inside a box is proposed. More important, the topology graph is refined by adding more singular points as well as their corresponding points of the intersection curve. As a consequence, the space topology graph is homeomorphic to the intersection curve and leads to an approximation for the curve in a given precision.
