Let \(X\) be a Riemannian symmetric space of noncompact type. This article studies the time-dependent Schrödinger equation on \(X\). Let \(u(t,x)\) be a solution, where \(t \in \mathbb {R}\) and \(x \in X\). It is shown that if \(u(0, \cdot)\) and \(u(t_0,\cdot)\) satisfy some square-integrable and Beurling type rapid decreasing condition for some \(t_0 > 0\), then \(u = 0\).
