A convex partition of a convex body \(B\) is a covering of \(B\) by a family of convex bodies with disjoint interiors. The paper discusses an analogue of Kadet's problem whether, for each convex partition of a convex body \(B\) in \(\mathbb{R}^d\), a positively homothetic copy of \(B\) can be placed into each body in the partition such that the sum of all homothety coefficients is at least \(1\) (see [\textit{V. Kadets}, Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 133, No. 5, 1491--1495 (2005; Zbl 1067.52008)]). The authors provide a positive solution for \(d=2\) and establish that certain restrictions on the partition are needed in higher dimensions.
