Let \(V=V_1\oplus V_2\) be a finite-dimensional vector space over an infinite locally-finite field \(F\). Then \(V\) admits the torus action of \(G=F^\bullet\) by defining \((v_1\oplus v_2)^g=v_1g^{-1}\oplus v_2g\). If \(K\) is a field of characteristic different from that of \(F\), then \(G\) acts on the group algebra \(K[V]\). In part I [J. Algebra 324, No. 11, 3035-3043 (2010; Zbl 1217.16020)] the author determined \(G\)-stable ideals of \(K[V]\) in case \(V_1\) and \(V_2\) are both 1-dimensional. Applying similar methods, the analogous problem for the torus action without restricting the dimension is treated with the additional assumption that the field \(F\) is wide in the sense that it contains infinitely many minimal non-prime subfields. It turns out that \(G\)-stable ideals are finite intersections of augmentation ideals of the form \(\omega(W_1\oplus W_2,V)\). The proof involves study of square-free extensions of finite fields by means of linear functionals and characters, which may be of independent interest.
