This paper proves that, for a compact locally conformal symplectic (l.c.s.) manifold \(M\) with integral period lattice, there exist a natural number \(N\) and an embedding into \(S^{2N-1}\times S^1\) which pulls back the standard l.c.s. structure on \(S^{2N-1}\times S^1.\) Moreover, it describes a universal model for the reduction of an l.c.s. manifold of the first kind. The authors relate their results with other ones proved recently by \textit{L. Ornea} and \textit{M. Verbitsky} [J. Geom. Phys. 59, No.~3, 295--305 (2009; Zbl 1161.57015)].
