The authors derive the minimum principles of quasilinear transport equations. Two approaches are proposed, one involving an inverse operator and the other involving primal and dual problems. The primal and dual problems are inextricably coupled for nonpotential and initial value problems. An application of the method is shown in modeling polymerisation of poly-methyl-methacrylate in cement prostheses; however, no numerical result is presented.
