The paper deals with the 2D-Ising model defined on finite boxes at temperatures that are below but very close from the critical point. When the temperature approaches the critical point and the size of the box grows fast enough, the authors establish large deviations estimates on FK (Fortuin-Kasteleyn)-percolation events that concern the phenomenon of phase coexistence. Besides, some preliminary results on the critical behavior of the \(2D\)-Ising model are reviewed. Some weak mixing results as \(p\to p_c\) as well as a technical result concerning the speed of convergence of the empirical magnetization near criticality are proved.
