Fundamental soliton complexes formed under trilete lattice configuration are studied through a model of a coupled system of three discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equations. Formation, stability and dynamics of the fundamental solitons are investigated analytically and numerically by variational approximation approach. The results demonstrate the formation of symmetric and anti-symmetric pairs of soliton branches. A stability analysis shows that the symmetric soliton complexes destabilize at the bifurcation point, while the anti-symmetric complexes become stabilized. Direct simulations show that unstable symmetric modes radiate part of their power into localized interface breathing complexes, while unstable asymmetric modes transform to breathers travelling away from the interface across the lattice without significant power loss.
