      In the present article it is discussed a gauge-invariant discretization procedure for gauge theories by considering the holonomy of the connection evaluated on loops as the main tool. The proposed discretization is developed in a principal bundle with a structure Lie group and thus, in the compact case, one may introduce a Haar measure as a probability measure. As a consequence, one may appropriately define a discrete analog of curvature of the connection that is covariant with respect to the action of the group by construction. As shown in the article, by introducing a skew-symmetrized discrete analog of the monomials of the Chern character one may find that the discretization only results dependent on the orientation of the chosen simplexes. Further, the continuum limit of the discretization involve cylindrical functions defined on products of the Lie group with the Haar measure, contrary to the standard case where the non-gauge invariant Lebesgue measure is considered. Finally, the author briefly explores a discrete version of the Feynman-Kac integral.
