We present an agent-based model formalizing the Retribution and Reciprocity Model (RRM) as an extension of bounded confidence opinion dynamics. Our key result is that oscillations dominate the system behavior when there is a neutral perception of the environment, while consensus emerges otherwise, with the transition between these regimes depending on reciprocal and retributive tendencies.
