Assume that \((X,d)\) is a compact metric space and \(f\colon X \to X\). The map \(f\) has the ``specification property'' if for every \(\delta> 0\) there exists an \(N_{\delta} \in \mathbb{N}\) such that for \(n \geq 2\), for any \(n\) points \(x_1, \cdots , x_n \in X\) and any sequence of natural numbers \(a_1 \leq b_1 < a_2 \leq b_2 < \ldots < a_n \leq b_n\) with \(a_i - b_{i-1} \geq N_{\delta}\) for \(2 \leq i \leq n\) there is a periodic point \(x \in X\) such that \(d(f^j(x), f^j(x_i)) < \delta\) for \(a_i \leq j \leq b_i\) and \(1 \leq i \leq n\). The map \(f\) is ``\(\omega\)-chaotic'' if there exists an uncountable set \(\Omega \subset X\) such that \(\omega(x)\) contains a non-periodic point for any \(x\in \Omega\) and for any \(x,y \in \Omega, x \neq y\), we have: \(\omega(x) \cap \omega(y) \neq \emptyset, \omega(x) \setminus \omega(y)\) is uncountable (by \(\omega(z)\) we mean the \(\omega\)-limit set of \(z\)). In the paper it is proved that if \(f\colon X \to X\) is a continuous surjective map with the specification property and there exist a fixed point \(x \in X, \eta > 0\) and \(\lambda >1\) such that \(d(f(x), f(y)) \geq \lambda d(x,y)\) provided that \(0 < d(x,y) < \eta\), then \(f\) is \(\omega\)-chaotic.
