The resultant on compact Riemann surfaces (Q731295)

A notion of ``Resultant of two meromorphic functions on a compact Riemann surface'' is introduced. The authors point out connections with potential theory. They exhibit several integral formulas for the resultant. In particular, the exponential transform of quadrature domain in the complex plane is expressed in terms of the (defined above) resulltant on the Schottky double of the domain.
