Shape and topological optimization for a fractional elliptic boundary problem (Q7313591)

A shape optimization problem associated with the fractional Laplacian is investigated. The authors generalized results published by \textit{A.-L. Dalibard} and \textit{D. Gérard-Varet} [ESAIM, Control Optim. Calc. Var. 19, No. 4, 976--1013 (2013; Zbl 1283.49049)] and by \textit{M. Fall} et al. [Appl. Comput. Math. 10, No. 3, 56--68 (2021; \url{doi:10.11648/j.acm.20211003.12})]. The authors show that the results concerning existence and optimality conditions of the optimization problem can be proved in a more general framework than in the cited papers. The proofs of such generalization are the main result of the paper. Besides, new technique using the shape derivative and topological derivative of the functional were established. Possible further research in the area is shortly outlined in the concluding part of the paper.
