Basic expansions of solutions to the sixth Painlevé equation in the generic case (Q731590)

The authors use the methods of power geometry to obtain new asymptotic expansions of solutions to the sixth Painlevé equation for generic values of the parameters. The basic expansions (with the order of the first term less than unity) near the singularity \(x=0\) are considered and classified into types and families. Similar expansions near other singularities can also be computed by using the symmetries of the sixth Painlevé equation.
